Great Deal Actiontec GT704WG 54Mbps Wireless-G DSL Gateway Modem
This has been a reliable product for the past month. I have liberty bell DSl service, and this was the only modem they said they would support, so being a novice to the DSL equipment & service I bought it. I got it at Best Buy for >0, and had no trouble getting the service once my line was activated. However, I did have trouble getting the wireless work with my Vista Laptop initially. After a short conversation with the Tech Support people, it's been working ever since. I've only had one time where the modem was not working wirelessly (worked just fine for our computer that was plugged in)...so all I did was turn it off and then back on..and it worked again.
I have it plugged in in the basement, via our desktop, and use the laptop throughout the house...no problems with signal strength. I only wish it were faster than the 54Mbps, but it is a vast improvement over the dial-up we had. No problems with youtube type video downloads and we only have the 256 connection.

The Actiontec was easy to hook up, and now I save money every month by not renting it from the telephone company.

The item was not correctly advertized as a "Verizon" Gateway. Fortunately, Actiontec Technical support was able to help me reset it for use with Qwest. Worked great once it was reset.
